Effect of Soil Acidity Amelioration on Soil Properties and Yield of French Bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) under Rainfed Condition in Arunachal Pradesh

Under rainfed conditions yield potential of French bean reduced in the acid soil Arunachal Pradesh due to low fertility and metal toxicity. Therefore, current experiment was conducted ICAR, Basar, Research Farm during rabi season (October–January) 2018, 2019 2020 study effect amelioration using organic amendments combined with inorganic fertilizer on important properties. The amendment treatments i.e., control, vermicompost (Vc), vermicompost+lime (Vc+lime), 50% RDF (Recommended dose fertilizer), RDF+lime, RDF+Vc, 75% RDF, 100% were laid randomized block design three replications. doses vermicompost, lime 2.5 t ha-1, 400 kg ha-1 50-50-50 NPK ha-1. Results showed pH recorded maximum exchangeable aluminum, acidity total minimum 75%RDF+lime. carbon, cation capacity, moisture content available nutrients (N, P, K, S, Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu) bulk density 75%RDF+Vc. Vermicompost along 75%RDF most effective increasing (4.85 ha-1). indicates and/or improved making environment favorable achieve an optimum soils Pradesh.
